Kramer Pionier

The register lists here 3 versions with 8.1 to 10.2 kW output at 2,300 to 2,800 rpm, from single-cylinder diesels of 567 to 851 cm³. Unladen weights range from 700 to 1,090 kg, with a uniform length of 2,600 mm, widths from 1,120 to 1,500 mm and a uniform height of 1,480 mm; all three models run on diesel.

The Pionier range targeted smaller farms and specialist crops that called for manoeuvrable, narrow tractors; it stood at the start of Kramer's tractor production, from which the KA range and further lines later descended before the company turned to building loaders.

On a used purchase of these early single-cylinder diesels, the condition of piston and cylinder liner counts, the injector and feed pump, the clutch and the simple gearbox, and rust on sheet-metal parts and steering knuckles; on the narrow-track version in particular it is worth checking the narrower axles and rims for wear. Parts now run mainly through vintage-tractor specialists.
