Hürlimann Master series: large six-cylinder tractors from Wil, Switzerland, H-6165 and H-6190 MASTER, 121 to 139 kW, under the SAME group
The Master series formed the flagship of Hürlimann's line-up, the Swiss tractor maker founded in 1929 in Wil, canton St. Gallen, which has belonged to Italy's SAME group since 1979. Within the SAME Deutz-Fahr group, Hürlimann formed the third independent tractor brand alongside Same and Deutz-Fahr, with its own plant in Wil. The H-6165 and H-6190 MASTER are large six-cylinder tractors whose type designation names the engine family and power class.

The register lists 2 versions here with 120.6 to 139 kW from six-cylinder engines of 6,000 cm³, torque of around 633 Nm at a rated speed of 2,350 rpm, and unladen weights of 5,830 to 6,000 kg, with lengths of 4,750 to 4,780 mm, widths of 2,240 to 2,470 mm and heights of 2,880 to 2,930 mm.
As the flagship series, Master targeted large arable farms in Switzerland and the rest of Europe, competing there with the large models from Fiat, Same and Deutz-Fahr, with which Hürlimann increasingly shared technology after joining the SAME group. The cab offered the ride comfort typical of large tractors in this class.
When buying one of these large six-cylinder tractors, attention should go to the condition of the engine and injection system, the tightness of the hydraulics, rust on the fenders and cab floor, and the condition of the clutch and transmission, as well as the tightness of the cab mounts and the function of the pto; spare parts for the Hürlimann brand are available through the SDF dealer network.
