Hoyer HMC3

The register lists here 22 versions with 11 to 160 kW, two- to six-pole, full-load efficiencies from 91.22 to 96.31% and at 75% load from 91.28 to 96.58%. Frame sizes run from 160 to 315, supply voltage is uniformly 400 V. Manufacturing is in China, testing used test method 2-1-1B under the 2019 GEMS determination; all 22 motors reach the 2018 High Efficiency Level.

With frame sizes up to 315 and outputs up to 160 kW, the HMC3 range covers the upper segment of industrial drives, such as large pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors, at a consistently high efficiency class and with broad protection-rating approval for different operating environments.

When buying used, on these large motors bearing condition and play, a checked insulation resistance of the winding, the condition of shaft, key and fan cover, and a legible nameplate with frame size, pole count and mounting code matter especially; given the weight of these frame sizes, the condition of the lifting eyes and foundation fixing is also worth checking.
