This page gathers the Hanomag trucks the register could not assign to a named range, including the AL 28 and L28 ranges and the F and Kurier models. Hanomag, the Hannoversche Maschinenbau AG, was founded in 1835 in Hanover as a locomotive works, and from the early 20th century the company also built trucks; the F range (F45, F55, F65, F66) were the mid-weight trucks of the post-war years, the Kurier a light van of the 1950s. In 1969 the truck division became part of Hanomag-Henschel, and in 1971 Daimler-Benz took over the commercial-vehicle business, which subsequently became part of Mercedes-Benz; the Hanomag brand name disappeared from the truck programme at that point.

Hanomag trucks helped shape the streetscape of West Germany in the 1950s and 1960s as tradesmen's and distribution vehicles, before the takeover by Daimler-Benz made the brand disappear from the truck segment; today surviving examples are sought chiefly by classic-vehicle collectors.

On surviving Hanomag trucks, corrosion on the frame, cab and load bed, the condition of the engine and clutch, the completeness of fittings and badging, and the availability of spare parts, which today runs solely through classic-vehicle specialists and newly manufactured parts, all count.
