County Commercial Cars of Fleet in Hampshire built four-wheel-drive tractors on a Ford tractor base from the 1950s into the 1980s: the Ford base vehicle supplied engine, gearbox and cab, County added four-wheel drive through its own front-axle and transfer-case system, and the machines were sold through the Ford dealer network as a distinct brand. The 'Super' range of the 1970s stands for the version with twin-fitted front tyres and a reinforced frame; the type designation combines the Ford base (654, 754, 954, 1004, 1454) with the suffix 'Super' or 'Super-6' for the six-cylinder version.

County tractors were, in Britain, the alternative to Ford's own factory four-wheel-drive models and to rivals such as Doe and Muir-Hill, who likewise converted Ford base vehicles; they were used chiefly in forestry, on steep slopes and in coastal areas, where four-wheel drive secured traction that two-wheel drive could not. County ended tractor production in 1984.
