Deutz Allis 5200 series

The register lists 3 versions with 13.4 to 23.1 kW rated output at 2,500 to 2,600 rpm. The three-cylinder engines produce between 1,002 and 1,505 cm³ displacement, operating weights range from 620 to 1,312 kg at lengths from 2,623 to 2,830 mm and widths from 1,120 to 1,455 mm.

As compact tractors, the 5200 range targeted smaller farms, fruit and vine growing, and municipal work in North America, where Deutz-Allis, with bought-in Japanese compact models, competed against Kubota, John Deere and Ford. The Toyosha engine technically sets the range apart from the larger Deutz-Allis tractors built in Europe, which used Deutz's own air-cooled diesel engines.

When buying used, the condition of clutch and gearbox, and corrosion on sheet-metal parts and hydraulic lines, rank among the key checks. On the Toyosha three-cylinder engines it is worth checking the injection pump and cooling system; because of the bought-in engine base, spare parts are often only available in limited form through the regular Deutz trade, and specialist compact-tractor suppliers are worth consulting.
