Demag was a German crane maker whose mobile-crane division belonged to Mannesmann and later to Terex, before the Japanese group Tadano took it over in 2019; in this register the vehicles appear as trucks because mobile cranes need a standard truck registration to travel on public roads. The AC range stands for "All Terrain Crane", with the attached number giving the maximum lifting capacity in tonnes – the AC 100 thus lifts up to 100 tonnes, the AC 700 up to 700 tonnes. Individual entries come from the Finnish vehicle register, where Demag mobile cranes are listed as "ajoneuvonosturi".

When buying a used mobile crane, what matters above all is the operating hours on the hoist and telescopic boom, the condition of the hydraulic cylinders and hoses, and wear on the outriggers and axles from the high operating weight; servicing, inspection and spare parts today run through Tadano or specialist crane-service companies.
