Dangel is a French converter based in the Sochaux area that has fitted front-wheel-drive commercial vehicles and cars, mainly from the PSA brands Peugeot and Citroën, with selectable four-wheel drive since the 1980s, working as an official development partner of the manufacturers. The models gathered here show the range of these conversions: from the compact Partner, through the large panel vans Boxer and Jumper (both based on the Fiat Ducato), to the Jumpy, Expert and the licence-converted Vivaro and Proace models from other makers, each marked with the "4x4" or "4X4" suffix.

Dangel conversions fill the gap left by manufacturers whose vans are usually only front-wheel drive as standard, and are used by trades businesses, forestry, utility companies and rescue services in rough terrain and winter working conditions.

When buying used, check the condition of the additional four-wheel-drive train with its transfer case and propshafts, ground clearance and any underbody or axle damage from off-road use, and carry out the usual wear check on the base vehicle; spare parts for the four-wheel-drive system run through Dangel itself, and all other parts through the service network of the respective base brand.
