The OM 470, 471 and 473 ranges as well as the 924, 926, 934 and 936 are the commercial-vehicle and industrial engines of Mercedes-Benz and Daimler Truck respectively; the bigger OM 470 to OM 473 come from the heavy truck engine range, the smaller OM 924 to OM 936 from the mid-range industrial engine family. This page gathers the versions from the US EPA certification data for nonroad applications that the register did not assign to its own range. The LA suffix marks the turbocharged, charge-air-cooled version, cylinder count follows the build size – four cylinders on the OM 924 and OM 934, six cylinders on the OM 470, 471, 473, 926 and 936.

The register lists here 7 versions with 97 to 380 kW at rated speeds of 1,600 to 1,800 rpm, from four- to six-cylinders of 106 to 139 mm bore and 135 to 171 mm stroke, maximum torque from 467 to 2,600 Nm at 1,300 to 1,800 rpm, with direct injection and turbocharging mostly of the wastegate type, in model years 2022 to 2026. The emission stages range from Tier 3 to Tier 4 Final or Phase-in.

Mercedes-Benz industrial engines of the OM900 and OM470 families are fitted in construction machinery, agricultural equipment, generator sets and other nonroad applications of numerous equipment makers who draw on the group's shared engine base with its truck ranges; the EPA certification covers both the US market and other distribution areas.

On these industrial engines, operating hours, the condition of the turbocharger and charge-air cooler, the tightness of the injection system and cooling circuit and, depending on the emission stage, the condition of the exhaust aftertreatment count; spares run through the Daimler Truck and Mercedes-Benz industrial-engine network.
