The e-NV200 is the battery-electric version of the Nissan NV200, a compact van that Nissan has offered since 2009 as the successor to the Vanette, alongside the combustion version. Nissan launched the e-NV200 in 2014, using the drivetrain of the electric car Leaf, which the maker has built since 2010; production of the e-NV200 ran at the Barcelona plant in Spain. The model designation in the register also distinguishes pick-up and tipper versions besides the standard panel van, built by third parties on the e-NV200 chassis, since Nissan itself only produced the panel van.
