New Holland T6020 (2007–2012) – the four-cylinder entry to the T6000 range from Basildon: 112 hp from 4.5 litres, Delta, Plus and Elite as equipment lines, Range Command and Power Command, 67 to 97 kW, 90 hp at the PTO

The T6020 was the smallest model of the T6000 range with which New Holland replaced the TS-A range in 2007 – built in Basildon, England, and as a four-cylinder the entry to the mid-range, while the sister models from the T6030 upward carry six-cylinders. The type logic: T marks the tractor ranges of the blue programme, 6 the mid-range series, 020 the lowest power step; the equipment lines follow the suffix: Delta the simple version with mechanical transmission, Plus the medium, Elite the upper one with Power Command powershift, front-axle suspension and electronic hydraulics. The engine is FPT's NEF four-cylinder of 4.5 litres at 2,200 rpm, 112 hp rated, and on Plus and Elite with power boost for PTO and transport work, which explains the register span up to 97 kW.

The register lists 8 versions with 67.1 to 97 kW from the four-cylinder of 4,485 to 4,502 cm³, torque from 476 to 533 Nm, 90 hp at the PTO, lift capacities from 3,406 to 5,539 kg, unladen weights from 4,720 to 5,575 kg, lengths from 4,320 to 4,950 mm, widths from 2,280 to 2,500 mm and heights from 2,805 to 2,985 mm.

The T6020 is the compact all-rounder for grassland and dairy farms that value the short wheelbase of the four-cylinder for front loader and yard work; its successor is the T6.120 of the T6 range.

On used tractors, operating hours, the condition of engine and injection, transmission (Range Command clutches on Plus and Elite), front-axle suspension, loader mounting and hydraulics, cab and electronics and parts supply through CNH count.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Check the weights in the papers against the figures here — attachments change them.
  • Shift the gearbox cold and warm — jumps only show up at temperature.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
