John Deere built the 8030 Series from 2006 to 2009 at its Waterloo, Iowa plant as standard tractors bridging the earlier 8020 Series and the following 8R Series. The four models – 8130, 8230, 8330 and 8430 – are arranged in ascending power class. The series' six-cylinder carries the John Deere PowerTech 6090HRW designation, displacing 8,984 cc at 2,100 rpm rated speed. The series ran on wheels only, complementing the articulated and tracked large tractors in the John Deere line-up.
