The ISDT K2 Air is a two-channel charger with mains and DC input for small FPV drones. ISDT is a Chinese maker of compact smart chargers of the K, P and Q series and of chargers for DJI batteries. The K2 Air is designed as a light field unit for packs up to 6S.
The maximum power of 1,000 W is made up of 2 × 500 W on DC input; on mains only 200 W is available. The charge current is at most 20 A, and in parallel charging 800 W at 35 A is possible. The unit charges 1S to 6S and supports LiFe, LiIon, LiPo, LiHV, lead-acid and NiMH and NiCd. The input covers AC 100 to 240 V and DC 10 to 30 V. The unit weighs about 700 g and measures 135 × 135 × 64 mm.
The 200 W on mains is the decisive difference: anyone using mains power alone charges much more slowly than the 1,000 W suggests. Lithium batteries are charged only according to the manufacturer's instructions, under supervision and on a non-flammable surface, ideally in a charging bag; damaged or swollen packs stay away from the charger. The LiHV mode must be chosen deliberately, because it raises the end-of-charge voltage from 4.2 to 4.35 V per cell.
When choosing, the source decides: on a DC power supply or a vehicle supply the full channel powers are available, and in a car a connection with enough current is sufficient. 100 Wh of pack energy charges in 12 minutes by calculation at 500 W, and in 30 minutes on mains at 200 W, each without balancing time. Packs that are to sit for a long time belong at storage voltage of about 3.8 V per cell. In use, the ventilation openings stay clear.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
