The RSDN5000 from Hertz Systems (Poland) is a stationary RF detection and neutralisation unit of the HAWK C-UAS family. It detects drones through their radio link and can neutralise them with a jammer. The antenna is integrated or sits on a mast; the manufacturer names critical infrastructure, airports and the military as fields of use.
The manufacturer gives a detection range of 8 km and an effect range of 5 km, with 360 degrees of azimuth coverage. Both values depend on the drone's radio link, the geometry and propagation: a strong remote control is heard farther than a weak one, and obstacles between antenna and drone shorten the range. Drones without a radio link stay undetected by this unit.
The manufacturer does not sell the unit to private individuals; the EU allows operation of the jammer only for authorised authorities and armed forces. Jammers may be operated only by authorities and armed forces in Germany (§ 91 TKG) and in Poland (Art. 42 of the Electronic Communications Law, Dz.U. 2024 item 1221). Who may act actively against drones is narrowly fixed by law: in Poland Art. 156ze of the Aviation Law (Dz.U. 2025 item 179), in Germany hazard prevention lies with the police, with the armed forces under § 15a LuftSiG as administrative assistance. Operators of critical infrastructure, airports and event organisers can limit themselves to detection; radio detection touches the secrecy of telecommunications (Fernmeldegeheimnis), and its legal classification is considered open.
For a stationary installation with a mast antenna, site and mast height for a clear line of sight, lightning protection, power supply, weather protection of the antenna and functional checks of detection and jammer to the manufacturer's rules count. Detection needs software updates for new drone models; strong third-party transmitters in the radio environment should be considered already when choosing the site.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
