The ELYSION C-UxS Shelterised Asset Protection from HENSOLDT (Germany) is a container-based defence system for protecting fixed assets against unmanned systems under 25 kg (sUAS). Radar, RF, acoustic and EO/IR sensors come together in the ELYSION Mission Core command system and are linked with soft-kill and hard-kill effectors. The system is installed in the Bundeswehr's ASUL (Abwehr von unbemannten Luftfahrzeugen, defence against unmanned aircraft).
The sensor range is wide: active and passive radar, RF direction finding by the TDOA method (evaluating arrival-time differences), RF cyber, acoustics and EO/IR. Coverage is 360 degrees and the container stands in a fixed place. Depending on the build, the manufacturer lists smart and GNSS jamming, cyber takeover, net launchers, interceptor drones, HPEM (high-power electromagnetic pulses) and hard kill as effectors.
The system belongs to the state and military sphere; its fields of use are the military and critical infrastructure. Operating jammers is reserved to authorities and armed forces: in Germany under § 91 TKG, in Poland under Art. 42 of the Electronic Communications Law (Dz.U. 2024 item 1221). Active countermeasures are reserved to state bodies (Poland: Art. 156ze of the Aviation Law, Dz.U. 2025 item 179; Germany: federal and state police, armed forces under § 15a LuftSiG as administrative assistance). For operators of critical infrastructure, airports and event organisers, detection alone remains; radio detection, however, touches the secrecy of telecommunications (Fernmeldegeheimnis), which counts as an open legal question.
In a container system, the standing area or foundation, power supply and climate control, radar calibration and the matching of software versions between sensors, effectors and Mission Core count. Layered builds call for servicing of each effector to the manufacturer's rules, checks of the release chain between sensor and effector, and regular exercises for the operators.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
