Doppstadt Trac – system carrier tractors from the recycling-technology maker in Velbert: Trac 80 to Trac 200, four- to six-cylinder diesels rated 52–147 kW, lift capacity up to 8,000 kg
Doppstadt's Trac line comprises system carrier tractors from the recycling and municipal-technology maker in Velbert, developed as carrier vehicles for attachments in green-waste processing, composting and earthworks. Doppstadt is best known for shredding and screening technology; the Trac models extend the range with dedicated drive platforms onto which shredders, screens and other attachments can be mounted. From the Trac 80 as the smallest to the Trac 200 as the largest model, plus the Trac 900K, the line covers a wide power range.

The register lists 6 versions rated at 52 to 147 kW (70 to 200 hp) from four- to six-cylinder diesel engines of 2,723 to 6,374 cm³, a lift capacity of up to 8,000 kg, kerb weights of 3,760 to 7,180 kg, and a length of 4,040 to 5,870 mm, a width of 2,000 to 2,577 mm and a height of 2,580 to 3,155 mm, at speeds of 2,350 to 2,650 rpm.
System carriers such as the Trac line work at composting plants, in landscape maintenance and at municipal depots, where one carrier vehicle uses several attachments across the season instead of keeping a separate machine for every task. That makes the Trac an alternative to classic wheel loaders or front-hydraulics tractors in this market segment.
On a used example of these carrier vehicles, engine and hydraulics condition matter especially, since the hydraulics run permanently under load for changing attachments; check pumps, valves and hose lines, along with the drivetrain, brakes and the mounting interfaces for the interchangeable implements. Spares and service run directly through Doppstadt.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Check the weights in the papers against the figures here — attachments change them.
- Check front and rear tyre sizes: mismatched pairs strain the drivetrain.
- Shift the gearbox cold and warm — jumps only show up at temperature.
- Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
