This page gathers the Deutz tractors the register could not assign to a named range – from the air-cooled D types of the 1950s to 1970s to the Agrostar, Agrotron and Agrofarm of the later Deutz-Fahr era. Deutz, founded in Cologne in 1864 as an engine works, is regarded as the world's oldest engine maker and began building tractors in 1907; in 1968 its agricultural arm merged with Fahr to form Deutz-Fahr. The type logic of the early D series gives the power class in hp after the D (D 30 around 30 hp, D 40 around 40 hp, D 50 around 50 hp), S stands for the version with PTO and hydraulics, N and NF for the standard version and its successor model; the Agrostar and Agrotron ranges from the 1980s carry the Deutz-Fahr names, though they are listed here still under the Deutz brand, TTV denotes the stepless transmission. A hallmark of Deutz across every generation is the air-cooled diesel engine, which dispenses with coolant and, in the F1L, F2L and F4L to F6L series, remained the unchanged basis of the engine range.

The register lists here 33 versions with 10 to 163 kW from one- to six-cylinders of 850 to 6,128 cm³, unladen weights from 1,000 to 10,460 kg, gross weights from 2,800 to 12,000 kg, lengths from 2,650 to 4,972 mm, widths from 1,450 to 2,550 mm and torque from 181 to 549 Nm at 2,100 to 2,400 rpm.
For decades Deutz was one of the major German tractor makers, and with the air-cooled engine it built its own technical line alongside water-cooled competitors; the brand remains widespread today above all in Germany, southern Europe and parts of Africa and Latin America, where Deutz engines are also fitted outside tractors, in construction machinery and stationary applications.
On used tractors, the air-cooled engines call for checking the blower, cooling fins and V-belt, the newer Agrotron models the electronics and the condition of the TTV transmission, plus the clutch, hydraulic tightness and rust on cab and mudguards; parts run through today's Deutz-Fahr network, for older D types also through independent tractor-parts dealers.
