This page gathers Bedford trucks the register could not assign to a named range – mainly older types with cryptic letter-number codes (such as CJQ, EJM2 or DLA3) from the 1950s and 1960s, plus chassis of the later TK. Bedford was General Motors' British truck and commercial-vehicle marque with plants in Luton and Dunstable, founded in 1930 and, until being phased out in 1986/1987, one of Britain's largest commercial-vehicle makers; the early codes, under GM's internal system, denoted chassis and engine variant, often supplemented in the model name by the engine size in cubic centimetres. The last major range, the TK, built from 1959, shaped British distribution transport for decades with its distinctive front end.

Until the 1980s, Bedford was, alongside Ford and Leyland, one of Britain's three big commercial-vehicle marques and, thanks to its kinship with Vauxhall and Opel engineering, also common on the European continent; after the marque was discontinued in 1986, production rights partly passed to AWD Trucks, which continued building the TK's successor under its own name.
On the older Bedford types, corrosion on the frame, cab and cab floor (common on British commercial vehicles of these years), the condition of the engine and clutch, and the availability of spare parts, today mainly through specialist vintage commercial-vehicle workshops and British Bedford clubs, count; on the TK, the gearbox and braking system as well.
