The register lists here 2 versions with 33.1 to 47.8 kW from three to four cylinders of 2,697 to 3,594 cm³ displacement, unladen weights of 2,170 to 2,870 kg, lengths of 3,290 to 3,655 mm, widths of 1,780 to 1,840 mm, heights of 2,400 to 2,475 mm and torque of 143 to 198 Nm; the engines run at 2,200 revolutions per minute.
With this power class Zetor served the medium-sized farms of the Eastern Bloc and exported the tractors in large numbers across the whole Comecon area as well as to Western Europe, Africa and Asia, where they were valued for their robust, easily repaired engineering and the ready availability of parts for the shared engine base.
On used examples, engine condition and compression, the condition of clutch and mechanical gearbox, rust on sheet metal and cab, and the function of hydraulics and PTO count; spare parts for the Z engine series are available through the Eastern European used market and specialist Zetor parts dealers.
