The register lists 59 versions from 10.5 to 130 kW and 20 to 180 hp with one- to four-cylinder engines. Unladen weights range from 940 to 4,580 kg, lengths from 2,520 to 4,690 mm, and rated speeds fall between 2,000 and 2,400 rpm.

YTO supplies primarily the Chinese domestic market along with export markets in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe with a broad line-up from small tractors to large field tractors, and is one of the few Chinese marques with continuous tractor production spanning decades since the 1950s.

When buying older Dongfanghong models, check the injection pump and clutch; on the newer X and LX ranges, check the hydraulics and electrics. Parts supply outside China is more limited than for the established European and American marques, but increasingly runs through specialist importers.
