The Yanmar TF-V Series brings together on this collective page three horizontal single-cylinder diesel engines: TF70V, TF90V and TF120V. Like the rest of the TF range, these are horizontal single-cylinders with a low centre of gravity, easily mounted to pumps, generators and agricultural equipment; with power steps up to the TF120V, the V version covers the upper end of the TF range.

The register lists here 3 versions: TF70V, TF90V and TF120V. Output ranges from 5.5 to 8.8 kW (7.5 to 12 hp) at displacements of 382 to 638 cm³ and rated speeds between 2,400 and 2,600 rpm; all three are water-cooled naturally aspirated single-cylinder engines running on diesel, dry weight lies between 78 and 116 kg.

Horizontal single-cylinder diesels such as the TF-V range drive irrigation pumps, small generator sets and agricultural drives worldwide; their simple construction, without elaborate cooling circuits or electronics, allows servicing away from well-equipped workshops too.

When buying used, what counts on these horizontal single-cylinders is compression, the condition of the injector and injection pump, and play in the crank train; on the more powerful versions such as the TF120V, it is also worth checking the clutch or pulley for wear.
