Vermeer Rebel – balers from Pella, Iowa
Vermeer was founded in 1948 by Gary Vermeer in Pella, Iowa. The family-owned company made its name with agricultural machinery: in 1971 it developed, by its own account, the first larger round hay baler, and later added drilling, trenching and excavation equipment. Vermeer sells through independent dealers in more than 60 countries. In 2008 it acquired the baler maker Welger together with Lely.
