The register lists here 5 versions with 19.9 to 51.5 kW from two- to four-cylinders of 1,559 to 4,764 cc, unladen weights from 1,591 to 3,380 kg, lengths from 2,805 to 3,970 mm, widths from 1,545 to 1,939 mm and heights from 1,490 to 2,500 mm, torque from 77 to 289 Nm at rated speeds of 1,800 to 2,400 rpm.

Tractorul Braşov was one of the biggest tractor makers of the Eastern Bloc and exported the Universal tractors in large numbers to Western Europe too, where they were sold under the UTB name as an affordable alternative to Western brands; the Fiat-licence origin shows in the design and engine layout of many models.

On the UTB Universal tractors, what counts is the condition and compression of the diesel engine, the condition of the four-wheel-drive clutch and axle on the DT models, the tightness of the hydraulics and lift, and rust on bodywork and cab; parts for these once mass-produced tractors are partly still available through Eastern European dealers.
