Tercam – other models: the collective page with the Sprinter 35 and the Sprinter35, four-cylinder 1,950 cm³ engine, kerb weights 2,977 to 2,999 kg, gross weight 3,500 kg, length 7,000 mm

This page gathers the Tercam models the register could not assign to a named series: the Sprinter 35 and the Sprinter35 – two notations of the same model in the register. The 35 suffix in the type name follows the convention common on chassis of this class of stating the gross vehicle weight in tonnes within the name, here the 3.5-tonne class.

The register lists 2 versions here with a four-cylinder engine of 1,950 cm³ displacement, kerb weights from 2,977 to 2,999 kg, a gross vehicle weight of 3,500 kg, a length of 7,000 mm and a width of 2,200 mm.

At seven metres long with only 3.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight, this is a long chassis with comparatively low payload, used for bulky but light loads such as furniture removals or service bodies needing a large amount of storage space, where cubic capacity matters more than sheer weight-carrying ability.

When buying used, check the condition of the frame along the full vehicle length, corrosion on the body and underfloor, the function of brakes and suspension over a long wheelbase, wear on the clutch and gearbox, and the condition of the fuel system on the diesel engine; chassis parts are usually available through independent commercial-vehicle workshops.

A chassis of this length needs a correspondingly long wheelbase, because national type-approval rules limit how far the load bed may overhang behind the rear axle to a set proportion of the wheelbase; a body of seven and a half metres can therefore only be realised on a correspondingly stretched chassis, not through a wide overhang alone.
