TECO – other models: the collective page of MEPS-registered three-phase motors outside the named ranges, a Taiwanese maker from Taipei, 18 to 30 kW, two- to four-pole

This page gathers the TECO three-phase motors the Australian energy-efficiency register could not assign to a named range. TECO Electric & Machinery was founded in 1956 in Taipei and is among Taiwan's large electric-motor makers; the types recorded in the register, AEHH8P, OSP18 and OSP30, come from two of the maker's ranges.

The register lists here 3 versions with 18 to 30 kW, two- to four-pole, with full-load efficiencies from 92 to 93.3% and at 75% load from 92.2 to 93.6%. Protection is IP54 and IP55, frame sizes are 180 L, 200 L and 286TS, mounting codes are B3 and B34. Malaysia and China are recorded as manufacturing countries; testing followed AS/NZS 1359.5:2004 and the 2019 GEMS determination with test methods A and B; one of the three motors reaches the 2018 High Efficiency Level (roughly IE3), the rest remain unclassified.

Motors in this power class of 18 to 30 kW with efficiencies above 92% belong to the upper mid-range for pumps, compressors and conveying drives in industry; registration under the Australian GEMS standard shows that TECO certifies its range of motors made in Malaysia and China for the Australian market too.

When buying used or replacing, what matters is bearing condition and a checked insulation resistance of the winding, visible overheating marks on the terminal box and fan cover, the condition of shaft and key, and a legible nameplate with frame size and pole count; anyone wanting to run the motor on a variable-speed drive should check its inverter suitability beforehand. Spares run through the TECO sales network.
