Suzue – other models: the collective page of Japanese compact tractors outside the named ranges, M1101 to M2001, 11 to 18 kW

This page gathers the Suzue tractors the register could not assign to a named range. Suzue is a Japanese maker of small compact tractors that, like other Japanese suppliers of the 1970s and 1980s – Kubota, Yanmar, Iseki, Satoh – belonged to the wave of compact tractors exported to North America and Europe at the time. The type logic ranges from simple model numbers such as 150 and 170 to the M range (M1101 to M2001), whose digits roughly reflect the build size.

The register lists here 8 versions with 11 to 18 kW (15 to 24 hp), all with diesel engines.

Suzue tractors are among the small compacts that opened up the Western market for hobby, orchard and small holdings before the big Japanese brands with wide dealer networks became established there; the M range was aimed mainly at the domestic Japanese market and export to warmer growing regions.

On these smallest tractors, engine condition and the cooling system, clutch and transmission, and hydraulic tightness matter, as well as rust on bodywork; spares are scarce due to the brand's limited spread and usually only available through dealers specialising in Japanese compact tractors.

At 12 to 13 kW, these Suzue models sit at the very bottom of tractor output altogether, so the three-point linkage usually falls into the smallest ISO 730 Category 0, designed for very light implements. The PTO runs at the 540 rpm rated speed standard even for these smallest tractors.
