The register lists 4 versions with around 10 to 20 kW (14 to 26 hp) from two-cylinder diesel engines at 2,500 rpm.

Simplicity positions itself in the garden-tractor market chiefly at the upper price segment for grounds and park maintenance, with higher-output diesel engines for larger areas compared with the brand's usual petrol garden tractors. The type numbers 9518, 9523 and 9528 form a four-digit model series within Simplicity's range for commercial and demanding private users.

When buying used, check the mower deck and drive belt, the condition of the two-cylinder diesel engine and its injection pump, and rust on the chassis; parts for the Toyosha, Kohler and Lombardini engines are available through the general small-equipment trade, and Simplicity-specific body and attachment parts through the brand's US distribution network; for units imported outside North America, lead times lengthen accordingly.

The three engine makers behind this range still exist today in some form: Kohler continues to build small and diesel engines, Lombardini now trades under the Kohler brand, and Toyosha still makes diesel engines for compact tractors – for buyers that means at least wear parts such as seals, filters and injectors can be sourced through the general small-engine trade, even though Simplicity itself no longer carries these types.
