The Agrotron 7230 TTV is powered by a water-cooled six-cylinder engine of 6,057 cc, producing 150 kW (204 hp) at 2,100 rpm with 870 Nm of torque. At a weight of 8,200 kg, a wheelbase of 2,837 mm and a width of 2,550 mm, the tractor reaches a design top speed of 40 km/h. The engine runs on diesel or B100 biodiesel.
The TTV designation stands for a stepless transmission that regulates engine speed independently of travel speed, an advantage with the varying pulling loads of tillage work. The 40 km/h top speed requires the German T driving licence category, the power take-off runs at the standard 540 or 1,000 rpm, and the three-point hitch follows ISO 730, typically fitted with category 2 implements at this weight.
Buying a used TTV model, the stepless transmission deserves particular attention: a test drive under load, oil change intervals and the transmission electronics' fault memory belong in the check. Added to that are the usual points for a heavy six-cylinder: the cooling system, hydraulic tightness, PTO bearings and tyre condition given the tractor's weight.
