The Agrotron M 640 is powered by a water-cooled six-cylinder engine of 6,057 cc, producing 125 kW (171 hp) at 2,100 rpm with 795 Nm of torque. At a weight of 5,970 kg, a wheelbase of 2,767 mm and a width of 2,550 mm, the tractor reaches a design top speed of 40 km/h. The engine runs on diesel or biodiesel.
A six-cylinder engine of six litres in this power class marks a medium-heavy field tractor for tillage, three-point implements to ISO 730 and haulage work. The 40 km/h top speed requires the German T driving licence category, and the power take-off runs at the standard 540 or 1,000 rpm. Implements in this weight class typically mount on category 2 of the ISO three-point standard.
Buying a used example is worth checking the six-cylinder's cooling system, the condition of the PTO bearings and the tightness of the hydraulic couplings. Since the Profiline trim carries more control electronics than the base version, a function test of the cab electronics belongs at inspection too, alongside weighing recorded hours against overall condition.
