Deutz-Fahr has built the Agrotron range at its plant in Lauingen an der Donau since 1995; the register gathers the Agrotron 80, 120, 130.6, 180.7 and 200 models here, whose type numbers roughly indicate the power class. The Agrotron range replaced Deutz-Fahr's earlier large-tractor lines.

As the SAME Deutz-Fahr group's large-tractor range, the Agrotron sits in the mid-to-upper power segment for arable and mixed farms and competes with comparable ranges from Fendt, Case IH and John Deere; the group markets technically related models in parallel under the SAME, Deutz-Fahr, Lamborghini and Hürlimann brands, each with its own styling and dealer network.
On a used Agrotron, check the clutch and gearbox, the hydraulic pump and lift linkage, and the condition of the cab mounts; on the larger turbocharged six-cylinder engines, check the charge-air cooler and injection pump, rust on the fenders and steps is common, and parts are available through the Deutz-Fahr dealer network.
