The focus on machine and timber transport makes Royen a niche supplier for forestry businesses, plant hire companies and earthworks contractors in Belgium and neighbouring countries, where low load floors and rugged ramp constructions for tracked vehicles and forestry machines are in demand.

With gross weights of up to 45 tonnes, Royen's low-loaders and platform trailers fall into EU class O4, which requires an air brake system; towing requires driving licence category CE. Low-loaders for tracked vehicles usually run on tandem or tridem axles with hydraulic steering of the rear axle group, which eases manoeuvring with a long wheelbase on narrow forest tracks and building sites.

On used Royen low-loaders, check the ramps, winches and their locks, the condition of the load-floor timber or steel plate, axles and brakes, and – on forestry trailers – the stakes and crane mounting; since machine transport creates high point loads, the frame around the axle mounts deserves particular attention.
