The Ares 715 RZ was built between July 2000 and March 2002 as part of the ARES-700 series and belonged to the more powerful standard tractors from Renault of this period, shortly before the tractor business was fully taken over by another group.

The water-cooled six-cylinder engine displaces 6,788 cm³ and delivers 114.8 kW at 2,200 rpm, equivalent to 156 horsepower, with 597 Nm of torque. With a weight of 7,380 kg, a wheelbase of 2,880 mm and a top speed of 40 km/h, the Ares 715 RZ belonged to the heavy standard tractors built for large arable farms.

Six-cylinder engines of nearly seven litres displacement and over 150 horsepower mark the upper power class of standard tractors, needed to drive heavy tillage equipment and large trailers. Torque close to 600 Nm keeps enough pulling force available for heavy ploughing or cultivator work even at lower engine speeds.

When buying a used Ares 715 RZ, the cooling system and turbocharger should be checked for leaks and loss of power, since modern six-cylinder diesel engines of this power class are sensitive to neglected maintenance. The hydraulic pump and the connections for heavy implements also deserve a functional check under load, as should the front axle and steering knuckles, which carry substantial strain from the tractor's high weight during headland turns.
