Renault 94 series – large six-cylinder tractors from Renault Agriculture: 160-94 TZ/TX and 180-94 TZ, 110.4 to 125.1 kW, 6,234 cm³, 525 to 598 Nm at 2,350 rpm
Renault Agriculture, the farm-equipment arm of the French Renault group based in Le Mans, built the 94 series as large six-cylinder tractors; from 2003 the division was majority-owned, and from 2008 fully owned, by the farm-machinery group Claas. The 94 series comprises the 160-94 TZ/TX and 180-94 TZ models. The range sat at the top of Renault's line-up of the time and marked the transition to the more powerful tractor generations of the 1990s.

With its high power and strong torque, the 94 series targeted large arable farms in France and the rest of Western Europe that needed pulling power for heavy tillage and high road speeds. Its strong pulling power also made it sought after for heavy mounted implements and road transport.
Buyers of used units should check the turbocharger and injection system, clutch and gearbox, and the electronics in the cab, as well as the hydraulics and rust on the frame; spares now run through the Claas dealer network, which took over support for the older Renault ranges. Before purchase it is also worth checking the front axle on four-wheel-drive versions and wear on the PTO shaft.
