The wide length range results from the long but lightly built stage and tiny-house bodies, which despite their considerable length stay within the car-trailer class up to 3,500 kilograms.

When buying used, the checkpoints depend heavily on the body type: on stage and market wagons, what matters is the tightness of the body, the condition of the fold-out mechanism and the electrical installation; on boat trailers, the rollers and axle corrosion; and on tiny-house bodies, additionally damp damage to the wall and roof construction. Throughout, it is worth checking the axle, overrun brake and whether the body weight matches the gross weight rating.
