Alongside Krone, Schmitz Cargobull and Kögel, Pacton is one of the established trailer makers of the Benelux region and is common in Dutch and German long-haul transport, where curtainsider trailers are the standard for general and palletised cargo thanks to side loading.

On used curtainsiders, the condition of the tarpaulin and roof bows counts; on all body types the frame and corrosion on the side members, axles, brakes and suspension (usually air) matter, along with the registration history regarding axle-load limits, and on tippers and special bodies the hydraulics and body itself; parts run through Pacton service and independent trailer workshops.
