The TD5.95 is powered by a water-cooled four-cylinder diesel engine of 3.4 litres, delivering 73 kW at 2,300 rpm, roughly 99 hp. Unladen weight is 3,740 kg against a gross vehicle weight of 6,000 kg, with a length of 4,320 mm, a height of 2,665 mm and a width of 1,920 mm; the machine therefore carries considerably more payload than its unladen weight suggests, while staying compact enough for normal-width tracks.
General-purpose tractors of this size cover tillage, transport and power-take-off work at the standard speeds of 540 or 1,000 rpm on medium holdings. The gap between gross vehicle weight and unladen weight sets how much front hydraulic implement or front ballast is possible without overloading the front axle; the combination of 73 kW and a 6,000 kg gross vehicle weight makes the TD5.95 versatile, from pure drawbar work to towing a trailer.
When buying used, check the brakes, which see more load at a gross vehicle weight of 6,000 kg than on lighter models, along with the tightness of hydraulic cylinders and the condition of the driveline guards. Rust on load-bearing panels points to long periods stored outdoors, as does uneven tyre wear from one-sided loading.
