Mercedes Benz 433.163
1 model in this series
Mercedes-Benz MB-trac 1300 turbo (series 433.163): turbocharged six-cylinder system tractor rated at 92 kW, built from February 1987 to December 1991, top speed 32 km/h.
Mercedes-Benz built the MB-trac as a stand-alone system-tractor line for agriculture at its Gaggenau plant. Its defining feature was a symmetrical layout with equal-sized wheels front and rear and a driver's seat that could be turned through 180 degrees, so implements could be carried at either end. The MB-trac 1300 turbo was produced between February 1987 and December 1991 as one of the last and most powerful models in the 433 series.

The water-cooled six-cylinder engine displaces 5,958 cm³ and delivers 125 hp (92 kW) at 2,400 rpm with 425 Nm of torque. At an unladen weight of 6,300 kg and a wheelbase of 2,650 mm, the tractor's design top speed is 32 km/h. At 4,680 mm long, 2,500 mm wide and 2,930 mm high, it counts among the larger MB-trac models.
Turbocharging raises output and torque over unblown MB-trac variants of the same displacement, which helps with heavy tillage and trailer haulage. As on the Unimog, portal axles provide high ground clearance, and four-wheel drive is standard. In Germany the vehicle is registered under the T tractor licence class.
When buying a used example, check the tubular frame, where rust tends to start at the mounting points for front and rear implements. The rotating driver's seat lock should move freely and latch cleanly. On the turbocharger, boost pressure and oil supply matter; on the hydraulics, check the fittings for leaks. Drivetrain and axle parts are usually still available through Unimog spares suppliers.
