The McCormick X6 is the next size up from the X5, also built by the Italian Argo group at the Fabbrico plant near Reggio Emilia since 2013. The four models X6.125, X6.430, X6.45 and X6.470 carry a four-cylinder diesel engine with a uniform rated speed of 2,200 rpm; the designations after the dot distinguish power and equipment levels within the series.

With outputs up to 110 kW, the X6 positions itself as a large tractor for medium and larger farms as well as contracting businesses, competing with series of similar power class from Landini, Deutz-Fahr, Case IH and New Holland. It is used mainly for tillage, sowing, transport work and powering trailed harvesting machinery.
When buying used, the operating hours on the four-cylinder, the condition of the lift hydraulics and PTO, the tightness of turbocharger and intercooler, and wear on the front axle and tyres all matter. Spare parts run through the Argo group's dealer network. It is also worth checking the on-board electronics, cab mounting and seat suspension, and tyre tread depth.
