McCormick F series

The register lists 3 versions with 15.4 to 18.2 kW (21 to 24.8 hp) from four-cylinders of 1,853 to 2,011 cc displacement at a rated speed of 1,650 rpm. Maximum torque is 157 Nm. Operating weight ranges from 1,340 to 1,520 kg, length from 3,058 to 3,290 mm, width from 1,980 to 2,045 mm and height from 1,788 to 1,899 mm. All three models run on petrol.

The petrol drive of all three models sets the F range apart from the group's contemporary diesel ranges and places it more in the earlier phase of the standard four-cylinder tractor, before diesel became the standard drive for farm tractors. The comparatively wide track of nearly two metres points to a stable standard tractor for open field work.

On a used purchase of these historic petrol tractors, points to check include the condition of the carburettor and ignition system, the tightness of the radiator and fuel lines, wear on the clutch and gearbox, and corrosion on the chassis and mudguards.
