The 100 series brings together the 101 (Super) model along with the Junior and Senior versions of the 101/102 types, which Massey-Harris built at its Racine, Wisconsin plant – the former J.I. Case Plow Works factory the group had acquired in 1928. Junior and Senior differ chiefly in engine size and cylinder count, while the Super version is the most powerful variant of the family.

The register lists 3 versions with 15.3 to 28.7 kW from four- to six-cylinders of 2,027 to 3,707 cc displacement at rated speeds between 1,500 and 1,800 rpm. Operating weight ranges from 1,524 to 1,828 kg, with dimensions of around 3,207 mm length, 1,683 mm width and 1,607 mm height. The models ran on petrol or a petrol-kerosene mixture.

With production in Racine, Massey-Harris strengthened its presence on the North American market and competed in this segment directly with the established Junior/Senior ranges of other US makers. The parallel four- and six-cylinder engines allowed output to be staggered within a single, unified range.

On a used purchase of these historic tractors, points to check include the condition of the cylinder head and pistons, the function of the carburettor and ignition system, wear on the gearbox, clutch and rear axle, and corrosion on the chassis and mudguards. Spare parts for Junior and Senior engines are found mainly through vintage dealers specialising in Massey-Harris.
