As compact all-round tractors, these models positioned themselves between small yard tractors and large field tractors, aimed at medium-sized farms as well as municipalities and contractors needing a versatile, manoeuvrable tractor.
When buying used, the condition of the clutch and gearbox, hydraulic tightness, corrosion on wings and cab floor and completeness of the front hydraulics, where fitted, matter; wear and engine parts are well supplied through the AGCO parts network for Massey Ferguson. In many operations they carried out routine work such as transport, mowing and light tillage for decades. Front-end loader mounts, where fitted, also deserve inspection for cracks and wear.
