Ls Tractors XG

The XG3140, built in 2017, is powered by a water-cooled three-cylinder diesel engine of 1,879 cm³ displacement, producing 40 hp, equivalent to 30 kW, at 2,600 rpm. Gross weight is 1,329 kg, giving a power-to-weight figure of roughly 33.2 kg per hp. The three-point hitch lifts up to 820 kg. At 3,322 mm long, just 1,374 mm wide, 2,341 mm high and with a wheelbase of 1,754 mm, the XG3140 has a noticeably narrow build.

The narrow 1,374 mm width makes the XG3140 suited to work in tight crop rows such as orchards, berry plantations or vineyards, where wider standard tractors cannot pass. The 820 kg lift capacity is enough for light implements matching such a narrow design, such as a mower or a small rotary tiller.

When buying such a narrow compact tractor it is worth checking the fenders and bodywork, as these often show contact damage from working in tight rows. The hydraulics and their connections, tyres and brakes should also be checked, along with engine hours relative to outward condition, the front axle and steering linkage, and the availability of a dealer for spare parts for this Korean import brand.
