Lindner New 1000 series (Kundl, Tyrol) – compact tractors with N for two-wheel drive and A for four-wheel drive: 1450 to 1750 Turbo, three- and four-cylinder diesels of 2.5 to 4.0 litres, 52 to 72 hp, 2.1 to 2.9 t
The New 1000 series is the upgraded reissue of Lindner's classic 1000 range, built at the Kundl works in Tyrol, where the company founded in 1948 by Hermann Lindner has made compact and mountain tractors ever since. The type logic: the number from 1450 to 1750 orders the power class in ascending order, N stands for two-wheel drive, A for four-wheel drive, with the 1600 Turbo the turbocharged version at the top of the range. The engines are three- and four-cylinder diesels of 2.5 to 4.0 litres, the design following Lindner's focus on agile tractors suited to steep slopes with a narrow track and low centre of gravity.

The register lists 6 versions with 52 to 72 hp from three- and four-cylinder diesels of 2,502 to 4,000 cm³ at 2,200 to 2,400 rpm, unladen weights from 2,056 to 2,870 kg, lengths from 3,450 to 3,745 mm, widths from 1,660 to 1,893 mm and heights from 2,235 to 2,550 mm.
The New 1000 series was the tractor of Tyrolean and Bavarian mountain and grassland farms, where Lindner ranks alongside Steyr and Fendt's compact models as an established make; the narrow build and the four-wheel-drive version also made the range attractive to vineyards and orchards on steep ground.
On used tractors, engine and injection pump, clutch and gearbox, the four-wheel-drive clutch on A models, hydraulics and linkage, brakes and sheet metal and frame count, more heavily strained in mountain work by slurry and damp; parts run through Lindner authorised workshops.
