The 20 series from Lindner of Kundl in the Tyrol likewise represents a compact mountain tractor, independent of the marque's 1000 series. The BF 420 SN/SA and BF 620 SN/SA models, with three- and four-cylinder engines, cover a wider power range than the 1000 series and were likewise offered in two drive versions each.

The register lists 2 versions here with 42 to 62 hp from three- and four-cylinder diesel engines of 2,502 to 3,863 cm³ displacement, at 2,250 to 2,400 revolutions per minute. Kerb weights range from 1,720 to 2,010 kg, lengths from 3,250 to 3,500 mm, widths from 1,600 to 1,730 mm and heights from 2,130 to 2,290 mm.
With the smaller BF 420 and the stronger BF 620, Lindner already covered a range from light slope tractor to a more powerful all-rounder within the 20 series itself, letting farms in the alpine valleys choose the machine to match holding and field size without switching brand.
When buying used, compression and cooling should be checked separately across the different engine sizes, since the stronger four-cylinder is under greater thermal load in continuous slope work. Steering, front-axle bearings and the hydraulics for front and rear implements show wear first under intensive use; spare parts are supplied by the manufacturer and by workshops in the Tyrol specialising in Lindner tractors.
