Lewo Trailers up to 3.5 t (Class O2)

The register lists 204 versions with kerb weights from 170 to 1,330 kg and gross weights from 850 to 3,500 kg — spanning the full range of class O2. Widths run from 1,580 to 2,600 mm and lengths from 2,500 to 11,720 mm; the exceptionally long versions are the narrow, light trailers built for long boats.

In Finland and the other Nordic countries, light trailers of this class are a fixture of leisure and farming, from boat and material transport to small loads behind a private car. The variety of types reflects the many local uses for which Lewo has supplied chassis for decades.

When buying used, check the drawbar and overrun coupling, rust on the frame and stub axles, and the load capacity of the side panels. On boat trailers, also check the keel rollers, support rollers and the frame parts that often stand in water for long periods. Lights, brake cables and tyres should be checked before the first trip; spare parts are stocked by Finnish and Scandinavian trailer specialists.
