Landini Powermondial

The register lists here 3 versions with 61 to 81 kW or 83.3 to 109 hp from the uniform four-cylinder of 4,400 cm³ displacement. Unladen weights lie between 4,600 and 4,650 kg, length is uniformly 4,400 mm, width between 1,964 and 2,056 mm and height between 2,720 and 2,730 mm.

As a sturdy, mechanically simple mid-class without the exhaust aftertreatment of the EU ranges, the Powermondial targets markets in eastern Europe, North Africa and overseas, where simple maintenance and low running costs count for more than complex electronics.

On a used example, the condition of the Perkins four-cylinder and its injection pump, hydraulic tightness, wear of clutch and gearbox, and rust on cab and mudguards count; parts run through the Landini-Argo network and Perkins engine service.

With outputs from 61 kW, the Powermondial range falls within three-point category II under ISO 730. Perkins still exists as an engine maker today under Caterpillar and continues to supply parts for the 1104D-44TA, independent of the specific Landini export market.
