Landini is one of Italy's oldest tractor manufacturers, founded by Giovanni Landini in the town of Fabbrico in the province of Reggio Emilia, and now belongs to the Argo Tractors group, which also includes McCormick and Valpadana. The 5-110H from the 5H series is a water-cooled four-cylinder tractor at the upper end of its engine class, built for medium to larger farming operations.

The 5-110H is powered by a water-cooled four-cylinder diesel engine of 3,400 cc, producing 102 hp (75 kW) at 2,200 rpm. At a kerb weight of 3,900 kg it measures 4,160 mm in length, 2,110 mm in width and 2,563 mm in height, on a 2,340 mm wheelbase; top speed is 40 km/h.

At 102 hp from 3.4 litres, this four-cylinder sits at the upper end of the power range for engines of this size and suits tillage with larger mounted implements, mowing and haulage with heavy trailers. A favourable power-to-displacement ratio like this makes the tractor more responsive for work that briefly demands high draught, such as turning with the plough raised.

When buying a used Landini 5-110H, the condition of the radiator, water pump and fan belt are among the first things to check, since a more powerful four-cylinder is more sensitive to cooling shortfalls than a less highly tuned engine of the same size. Gearbox and clutch should be checked under load for smooth shifting, and the front axle bearings for play. Parts for engine and chassis are readily available through dealers specialising in Landini and the Argo Tractors group.
