Landini R-7500 (DT), 550 series – water-cooled four-cylinder diesel producing 70 hp at 2,200 rpm from 3,865 cc, with four-wheel drive (doppia trazione), built 1978 to 1987
Landini is one of Italy's oldest tractor manufacturers, founded by Giovanni Landini in the town of Fabbrico in the province of Reggio Emilia, and now belongs to the Argo Tractors group. The R-7500 (DT) from the 550 series is a four-wheel-drive tractor from the late 1970s to late 1980s; Italian makers use DT for doppia trazione, meaning four-wheel drive.

The R-7500 (DT) is powered by a water-cooled four-cylinder diesel engine of 3,865 cc, producing 70 hp (51.5 kW) at 2,200 rpm with 268 Nm of torque. At a kerb weight of 3,128 kg it measures 3,830 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width and 2,740 mm in height, on a 2,460 mm wheelbase; top speed is 30 km/h.
A water-cooled four-cylinder of nearly four litres combined with four-wheel drive is built for tillage on medium to larger areas, grassland work and haulage with trailers. Four-wheel drive markedly improves traction on wet soil and gentle slopes compared with a two-wheel-drive version, though at this age it calls for particular attention to the front axle joints.
When buying a used four-wheel-drive Landini of this age, rust on the frame and hydraulic system, the condition of the radiator and water pump, and play in the four-wheel-drive joints are among the most important checks. Gearbox and brakes should be tested under load. Parts for engine and drivetrain are usually still available through dealers specialising in older Landini tractors.
