The span from 3.5 to just under 11.7 tonnes gross weight clearly exceeds the limit of trailers towable on an ordinary car licence: while the lighter version sits right at the 3.5-tonne boundary, the heavier one requires at least a C1E licence. With similar length and width for both types, the difference lies chiefly in the gross weight, and so in the payload.
On a used example, the condition of axles and braking system – on the heavier version especially the brake electronics –, rust on frame and drawbar, the state of side walls or body, lighting and plug, and tyres and rims all count. Parts for such small brands usually run through independent trailer workshops. Before purchase it is worth checking which of the two versions suits the tow vehicle and licence on hand.
