2 models in this series

The 9000er-Baureihe series from John Deere comprises 2 models.

John Deere 9300 T and 9400 T – the articulated 9000 series from Waterloo since 1996: six-cylinder engine of 12,535 cm³, 265 to 312.8 kW

The 9000 series is John Deere's articulated range for the largest power class, built since 1996 at the Waterloo plant in the US: two rigid chassis halves are joined by an articulation hinge, and the tractor steers by bending at this joint rather than through steered front wheels, allowing tighter turning circles at high pulling power on very large fields. The 9300 T and 9400 T represent two power steps within this range. The 9000 series was the first generation of John Deere's articulated tractors for the top power class, before the successor 9020 series and later the 9R series carried the concept forward.

The register lists 2 versions of 265 to 312.8 kW (360 to 425 hp) from a six-cylinder engine of 12,535 cm³ at 2,100 rpm, unladen weights from 19,017 to 19,257 kg, a length of 6,020 mm, a width of 3,646 mm and a height of 3,454 mm.

As articulated tractors for the largest North American arable farms, the 9300 T and 9400 T compete directly with Case IH's Steiger and New Holland's T9 ranges; the wide track, often fitted with dual wheels, spreads the high weight over a large footprint.

On a used example, what counts is operating hours, the condition of the articulation joint and its bearings, tightness of engine, gearbox and hydraulics, and the state of the tyres; spare parts run through John Deere's dealer network.
